Kindred Place Triumphs with New Licenses, Set to Reopen and Tackle Growing Needs in January
January 7, 2025
After five months of diligent efforts, Kindred Place has successfully passed its re-licensure certification, marking a significant milestone in its revival. Under the adept leadership of Vincent McCaskill, president and CEO of SchoolSeed and Dr. Sharon Griffin, executive director of Kindred Place, Kindred Place has obtained crucial licenses to begin offering services. This includes the Mental Health and Substance Abuse License along with the Department of Child Services Child Abuse License.
This achievement is particularly notable as the facility had to start from scratch to secure these licenses after a pause in operations in March and the expiration of its previous licenses prior to being acquired by SchoolSeed in July.
With these licenses now in place, Kindred Place is set to resume its vital counseling services starting in January, addressing the accumulated waiting list of individuals in need. This re-establishment not only reinstates Kindred Place's commitment to serving the community but also reinforces SchoolSeed's dedication to revitalizing and supporting such essential services. The community can now look forward to accessing much-needed support and guidance from Kindred Place, thanks to the tireless work and strategic direction provided during this transitional phase.
